Its 3:45pm Tuesday 19th July here in Northern Arizona. Its over cast. There is the occasional rumbling of thunder and it has been raining off and on. Tempering the desert heat for the moment. And I just had the honor and privilege of spending 5 hours with Mr James Dao from the New York Times and his camera man Marcus.
Mr Dao and Marcus are some of the most amazing reporters/camera people I have the honor and privilege to work with. Professional but not stuffy or over bearing. They possess high integrity and have clear objectives. And were able to communicate what they desire effectively. They were personable and friendly or I would prefer to say genuinely interested. This was not just another story to them.
They did a phenomenal job covering chronologically my story and how it relates to the the up and coming 10 year anniversary of 9/11.
And this is what this interview was all about. In honor of the up and coming anniversary and the USA over the past 10 years since 9/11.
The video interview may be out sooner on the web as it leads up to the publication on Sept 11, 2011 so keep you eyes posted.
Thank you Mr Dao and Marcus it was an honor and privilege. Thank you to everyone who has stuck by me and supported me, been an encouragement or a comfort to me and the children over the past 8 years. You are as much a part of this story as I am.
And thank you most importantly to my God, my Lord my Saviour Jesus Christ who strengthens me and the husband he gave me Michael Bitz and the man I have the honor and privilege to be married to now and for the past 7 1/2 years Michael Vasquez. Whom took care of this widow, became a father to the fatherless. My husband, friend and partner. I could not do this with out you and your support.
